George Mason
Students Abroad
Before the pandemic almost 1,700 students at George Mason enrolled in a study abroad experience. During the pandemic, student participation dropped as expected; still, a few hundred students took part in virtual programming and in select semester abroad programs.
In George Mason’s first full academic year post-pandemic (AY2022), 1,342 students (3.4 % of the George Mason student population) enrolled in a study abroad experience. This last academic year (AY2023), 1,052 students embarked on a study abroad program (2.6% of the George Mason student population).
